This course will show you the tools and services used by developers to build applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
We'll start out with an overview of GCP. This will help to provide context around the platform as a whole. Then we'll move on to learning how to develop apps on GCP.
Learning Objectives
- Use Cloud Storage to host a static website
- Respond to events using Cloud Functions
- Deploy an application to Kubernetes Engine
- Deploy an application to App Engine
- Use Cloud Build to create a continuous integration / continuous deployment pipeline
- Use the Cloud Operations suite for monitoring, logging, and debugging

Prerequisites
To get the most out of this course, you should have a basic understanding of the cloud and you should be familiar with building and deploying code.
About the Author
Daniel began his career as a Software Engineer, focusing mostly on web and mobile development. After twenty years of dealing with insufficient training and fragmented documentation, he decided to use his extensive experience to help the next generation of engineers.
Daniel has spent his most recent years designing and running technical classes for both Amazon and Microsoft. Today at Cloud Academy, he is working on building out an extensive Google Cloud training library.
When he isn’t working or tinkering in his home lab, Daniel enjoys BBQing, target shooting, and watching classic movies.
