Meet Danut Prisacaru. Danut has been a Software Architect for the past 10 years and has been involved in Software Engineering for 30 years. He’s passionate about software and learning, and jokes that coding is basically the only thing he can do well (!). We think his enthusiasm shines through.
What have you used Cloud Academy for?
Danut uses Cloud Academy to stay current — he started with everything AWS and then transitioned to Azure based on the needs of his company. Since the tech industry changes all the time, he likes to stay current by learning constantly. His work weeks are usually busy, so he tries to fit in his learning toward the end of the week or on the weekend.
What do you like best about Cloud Academy?
Danut likes the combination of video courses, hands-on labs, and lab challenges (where you get pushed to complete labs without any help). He really is a hands-on learner, and while he sees the value of theory, it’s by doing the actual task that he is able to cement his knowledge.
Danut also has goals to earn cloud certifications for his resume, which he thinks will be useful during the turbulent COVID-19 job market. His current favorite certification instructors are Thomas Mitchell (Azure) and Stuart Scott (AWS), because they’re authentic, seem truly knowledgeable, and don’t bore the student by just reading a script.
