This certification Course is specifically designed to prepare you for the AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty (DAS-C01). It covers all the elements required across all 5 of the domains outlined in the exam guide. Throughout this course, you will be guided via our courses, hands-on labs including some lab challenges, webinars, and a preparation exam at the end, all of which are focused on areas that will be assessed within the exam.  

Intended Audience

This course is suitable for anyone wanting to pass the AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty DAS-C01 exam. As defined in the exam guide, which can be found here, the exam has been designed for individuals who perform in a data analytics-focused role. This exam validates an examinee’s comprehensive understanding of using AWS services to design, build, secure, and maintain analytics solutions that provide insight from data.

Learning Objectives

The aim of the certification is to validate your knowledge across key areas, which have been defined by AWS as being able to:

  • Define AWS data analytics services and understand how they integrate with each other.
  • Explain how AWS data analytics services fit in the data lifecycle of collection, storage, processing, and
  • visualization.

As a means of demonstrating this knowledge, you will be tested across 5 different domains, with each domain contributing to a total percentage of your overall score. These domains are broken down as:

Domain 1: Collection - 18%

Domain 2: Storage & Data Management - 22%

Domain 3: Processing - 24%

Domain 4: Analysis and Visualization - 18%

Domain 5: Security - 18%

 

As you progress through the course, you will gain all the information and knowledge required to fulfill the domain expectations, gaining a deep understanding within each area.

Stephen has worked in IT for over 25 years in roles ranging from tech support to systems engineering. At one point, he taught computer network technology at a community college in Washington state.

Before coming to Cloud Academy, Stephen worked as a trainer and curriculum developer at AWS and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in cloud technologies.
