Overview
Designed for people new to programming, this Course provides an ideal entry point for people wanting to learn how to program with the Python scripting language. We begin with an introduction to an Interactive Development Environment and to the basic concepts of programming with the Python language. We are then introduced to how data is stored and represented within a computer, and to the primitive data types used by Python to represent data within programs. We then learn more about how data is stored and collected in memory, what strings are in programming and what the common operators are for manipulating strings. We then learn about Tuples - which are a data type specific to Python. Finally we learn how to create a simple function that outputs a string to the computer console.
